Summer Meals
July 1 to September 4
When school is out for the summer, one source of a healthy meal for children is off the table. Our Summer Meals program has been filling the gap for over thirty years.
Operating at sites throughout the city of Schenectady, the program provides fresh, healthy meals to hundreds of children and youth ages 18 and under and offers opportunities to spend time outdoors in the community.

Mobile food sites
Access to food, where you need it.
Follows the SCSD calendar; will return for the 2026/2027 school year.
To make sure we provide healthy food to as many people as possible, we have mobile food sites around the city. The mobile sites are one more way we’re working to make it easier to access healthy food.
Our hope is to reduce the worry of putting good food on the table, so that people can focus on other important needs in their lives.
