Summer Meals 2025
July 1st to August 29th
When school is out for the summer, a point of access to healthy meals for children and youth is off the table. Our summer meals program has been filling the gap for thirty years. With several sites across the city of Schenectady and neighboring towns, the program provides meals to hundreds of children and youth while offering an opportunity to spend time outdoors in the community.
Thank you to our incredible volunteers, partners, and participants for making Summer Meals 2024 a success! This past summer, we distributed nearly 6,500 meals across 11 sites in Schenectady and Rotterdam, serving an average of 150 meals per day.

The Summer Meals program provides free lunch to children and teens ages 18 and under. Following congregate setting guidelines, spaces to eat the meals will be organized at each site.

The program will run from July 1st to August 29th. (sites will not be open on July 4th)
